Chief Emergency Response Team (CERT)

This is the volunteer arm and also the main operations/impact branch of the foundation. The purpose of the team is to make an immediate impact and implement our objectives. CERT volunteers are designated outside the precincts of the emergency unit and are willing to provide on the spot services to families visiting the emergency unit with their sick child or elderly for acute care. Services include:

• Helping visitors with any extra luggage from the parking lot to the emergency room
• Offering to park visitors vehicles for them should that become necessary
• A one-time parking assistance while at the emergency so visitors don’t have to worry about parking tickets while receiving care
• Paying for parking ticket/fines for families should the need arise while at the emergency unit
